On December 6th and 7th, your Union met for the 5th time with bargainers from Fred Meyer and QFC (Kroger) to negotiate your new contract.
Your Union presented Kroger with a comprehensive proposal which addressed staffing concerns and aimed to get you the wage increases you deserve.
The Employer provided their own subpar wage proposal that failed to address the increasing cost of living or the ability to staff their stores. Their wage proposal also did not include increases for Non-Food.
While your employers’ proposal did include an attempt to bring CCK wages more in line with Grocery, it still falls far short of the need for real wage increases for our members who have fought through the pandemic, serving the communities in which we live, and providing the Employer with record profits.
Your Negotiation Committee told your employers that we were here to bargain a new agreement and would stay as long as it takes to get the contract our members deserve. In response, the Employer said they only had these two days to bargain and ended this session of negotiations. Our next bargaining sessions with Fred Meyer and QFC are scheduled to continue next week on the 14th, 15th, and 16th.
