On February 17th and 18th, your Union Negotiations Committee held our seventh session for Safeway and Albertsons members.

Your Union Negotiations Committee and representatives for your employers have reached a Tentative Agreement. The agreement covers members working at Safeway and Albertsons stores in Oregon, Southwest Washington, Idaho, and Western Wyoming.

The agreement includes large wage increases, new workplace safety measures, and in-store flexibility that will increase your access to available hours and shifts. The agreement also maintains your health and welfare plan, and protects your retirement.

In the coming weeks, contract ratification votes will be scheduled throughout the jurisdiction, at which time you will be able to read the full agreement, ask questions, and vote on your new contract.

Be sure to watch your union bulletin board, mailbox, email, Facebook, Twitter, and ufcw555.org for more information on where the votes will be held. You can also reach out to your Union Representative for more information on ratification vote times and locations.
