Welcome to Local 555!
We are each other’s greatest strength.
In order to achieve greater efficiency and stability, to enhance the best interests of the membership, and to promote the general welfare, United Food and Commercial Workers Local Nos. 555 and 368A agree that their Local Unions shall merge into one Local Union.
Local Nos. 555 and 368a merge!
Local 555 has become stronger by working together and by taking responsibility for other workers even if they don’t work in the same store or under the same contract. We bargain hard together and we consciously fight to make sure no one is left behind.
Here’s what you need to know…

Who we are
First and foremost, our members are mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, daughters and sons. We are people who want to be treated with respect for the work we do in our communities. We want to be able to afford our rent and take our families to the doctor when they are sick. We want to be able to give our kids a new bike for their birthday, ensure that they have fulfilling lives, and offer them future opportunities. We want what every person wants: the American Dream.

Meet Fellow Local 555 Members:

Lisa Morrison, Bend eastside Safeway
The UFCW Local 555 has changed my life. Being a member of the Unity Bargaining Committee I have learn a lot about the process and feel personal satisfaction representing my fellow members in Central Oregon. I enjoy helping people and feel engaged in my community. Helping us all live better is my goal.

Catherine Nguyen, Kaiser
As someone who is extremely interested in employee culture and wellness, being part of UFCW has been so eye opening and giving in opportunity. I have been a consultant for salon chains, and I constantly work towards better policies and conflict resolution for their employees. So, I am constantly appreciative of the voice UFCW fights for for our members. And am excited to continue as a steward to add to the strength of that voice.
