Bargaining Update – Idaho Albertsons: Progress Made on Contract but No Movement on Key Issues

Bargaining Update - Idaho Albertsons: Progress Made on Contract but No Movement on Key Issues

On February 27th and February 28th, your Bargaining Committee held our third bargaining session with the company.

In our third bargaining session, the company and your Bargaining Committee reached tentative agreements on numerous subjects that, while important, don’t represent the changes and updates that are going to change the lives of you and your coworkers. Nevertheless, it is progress.

The session ended with verbal agreements related to Funeral Leave, the Grievance Procedure, and Prior Experience Credit. This included the removal of a company proposal that your Bargaining Committee felt was harmful to employees who had to take a leave of absence.

Albertsons has not yet responded to our proposals regarding wages, health and welfare, and pension benefits, which are all keys to you taking care of those you love the most.

We have no current dates set for future negotiations, however both parties are conferencing next week to set dates for the future. Once we have our next bargaining session scheduled, we will let you know.

Your Bargaining Committee remains committed to our demand that
Albertsons employees in Idaho, Jackson, Wyoming, and Ontario, Oregon
are not left behind the rest of the country.
